At the start of June we took a large contingent up to Ledbury for the Tournament of Deeds, hosted by ISCA as part of Breathfest.

First: The Knightmares.

The level is going up and up, 3 teams all beating each other and getting a win each. That shows how competitive it is - and it’s not the first time. Bruna’s embedding some great mercs into the team and our ladies are performing better each time they fight. A huge well done to Celestine for her debut performance for the Knightmares.

Then, the tier 1 boys then came in with confidence and some great fixtures. With half the team coming from our first curriculum (about 18 months experience) and a debut from Stephen - so, not a vast amount of experience. However, we smashed our way through the group stages, not dropping a round. We honoured our semi-finalists from Australia man to man when they struggled and then the final…

Nothing new, it was White Company.

But this time it was different. We were fresh, uninjured and good fixtures helped our situation. So we took it to them and BAM. We took the first round with 4 still standing. Frustratingly, we didn’t get a 2nd. However, getting that first round woke them up to the possibilities and threat we pose.

So now I’m chasing it. The win. There’s no taking it away from them, they are very good. But this gives us something to work towards and we’re catching them.

We then had the 12’s and we fought the collective that is White Company and once again took a round with the help of BMC, Cambridge and ACG. Then the guys got back in and earned the silver medal again.

Strength and Honour!
