Who We Are
Based in London and the Home Counties, Invicta Medieval Combat are one of the leading teams on the UK Buhurt scene. Founded in 2017 by club captain Rowland Longley, we have grown from strength to strength on the national and international stage.
Our club logo, the white horse of our home county Kent, represents the strength and resilience encapsulated in our motto.
We pride ourselves on our commitment, resilience and endless desire to improve, and train through all seasons to compete at events throughout the year.
What We Do
Buhurt is a sport like no other. An armoured, full-contact sport that welcomes all, we are as close as you can get to real medieval knights without committing to time travel.
We are no re-enactors: there is no script.
With teams of anywhere from 3 to 150 taking each other on with blunted steel weapons, Buhurt can look like carnage, but is calculated, tactical combat.
Whether you join us for fun, fitness or competitive purposes, we welcome everyone to our training sessions.
